As one of the leading cosmetology schools in Springfield, MO, we have always believed that our knowledge in beauty is something that should be shared with people from all walks of life. And to keep up with this belief, the Academy of Hair Design launched its sister school called “Dream Beauty Africa,” in Rwanda, during Fall of 2012. Led by some of our staff and students, we flew to Africa on a 9-day trip full of joy and excitement, knowing that we will be able to touch lives by imparting valuable knowledge to Rwandans. Our team started reaching out to students as they taught and trained them regarding the importance of safety and sanitation within the school. The state of Rwanda has encountered problems related to water accessibility which resulted in poor hygiene and various kinds of illnesses.
