Springfield, MO Cosmetology School Gives Back Through Hair-Cutting

In our never-ending mission to make people look and feel good about themselves, we successfully conducted our “Back to School Cuts” program during the first week of August. For this program, we asked some of our students to give free haircuts to schoolchildren, in time for the resumption of classes. This is the Academy of Hair Design's way of giving back to the community for making us the leading cosmetology school in Springfield, MO. Dubbed “Cool for School,” the first of two legs took place last August 2, 2013, at the Stonebridge Church. AOHD students shared their expertise as they trimmed the hair of local kids before they went back to school. The program continued on August 6 during the Victory Mission back-to-school event where they attended to local children, and grooming them for the new school year. We came up with the project knowing fully well that there are a lot of children within the community who need to get a haircut especially after a long vacation from school.
